Botox®

When we use our muscles for facial expressions the overlying skin creases in response to movement. Over time this creates wrinkles such as crow’s feet, forehead and frown lines. These changes give the impression of aging or undesirable emotions. Botox® is a protein that relaxes the underlying muscles by blocking nerve impulses. Relaxing these muscles produces a smoother finish of the overlying skin and prevents the formation of deeper lines or creases. The result is a more refreshed and youthful appearance.In addition to eliminating wrinkles, Botox® is also effective in treating excessive underarm sweating.Botox® is administered with a few tiny injections that are virtually pain free. No anesthetic is required and the entire procedure will take just a few minutes. Results can be expected within 3-8 days and last 4-6 months.

Restylane

As we age, our skin loses elasticity and support of underlying structures creating sagging and creasing.Restylane® is a safe and natural filler that is injected under the surface of the skin to restore facial contours and eliminate lines and wrinkling. It adds volume and fullness to areas such as the folds between the nose and mouth. Additionally, scientists have found that it even stimulates the production of collagen.Restylane® can also be used to enhance the lips creating a fuller mouth or to fill in scar depressions.Restylane® is administered with injections under the skin where enhancement is desired using a local anesthetic. The procedure takes approximately 30 minutes and the results are immediate. Results will last six to eight months.
